Eternal life as captured previously in our post is predicated upon the revelation knowledge of Christ Jesus and this has its base in scriptures as revealed by John 17:3. We were also able to see previously that Jesus embodies all realms in God, the totality of the immortal resources was installed into Him such that the compendium of scriptures was all about Him and not about any created being because the undoing of the church is that we reveal the Knowledge of created being at the expense of the begotten Son of God, the first being amongst the dead.
Many ministers heralds the Knowledge of celestial beings and even demons without giving credence to the Christ meanwhile the entirety of scriptures testifies about a man; the man Christ Jesus 1tim 2:5. Any doctrine that does not reveal Christ will end you in the latrine(pit).
Let’s take our bearing from Saint John’s gospel 5:39 “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. These were the express words of Jesus, the word scriptures in that verse is Graphe in Greek which means a document, that is holy writ. When Jesus spoke these words the only scriptures he referenced were the old testament books because the new was yet to be scribbled so he definitely was referring to Genesis through Malachi and he told them to search those scriptures diligently, in them if carefully deciphered are eternal life and they testified of Him. This clearly means that Jesus was revealed in the old testament but codified, it takes a diligent heart to unravel him so the basis of our entire bible study must be to unravel Jesus, for example God told Moses to build a tabernacle compartmentalized into 3, the outer court, inner court and Holy of Holies as he was shown on the mount.
God told Moses specifically to construct this sacred reality according to the pattern revealed to him on the mount for a purpose because it is to depict perfectness. In this tabernacle are 7 article of furnitures which are the brazen laver and brazen altar at the outer court, when you proceed into the inner court you will find the table of shewbread, the menorah lampstand and the altar of incense then in the most holy place you will find the ark of covenant then on top of it the mercy seat with the overlaying wings of Angels.
Do you know that all of these article of furnitures in the tabernacle is a typology of Christ Jesus. I wish I could do justice to that in this piece. The brazen altar was where animals were slained, a ritualistic killing of animals happens on that altar to atone for the sin of Israel, in the new covenant Jesus is the lamb who was slained to take away the sin of the world( John 1:29), the brazen laver is where water is kept for washing, just like ablution before proceeding into the inner court; this is a picture of being born again( Ephesians 5:26). When you enter the inner court, the table of shewbread typifies Jesus because he’s the bread of life( John 6:48), the menorah lampstand which illuminates the inner court is also Jesus because the bible says Jesus is the Light of the world ( John 8:12) altar of incense; incense in the old testament signifies PRAYER according to Rev 8:4 and at resurrection the bible told us Jesus ever liveth to make intercession for the saints( Rom 8:34). Proceeding into the holy of holies we have the ark of covenant within it are Aaron’s rod that budded, pot of manna and two tablets and these all typifies the reality of Christ, the ark itself is the representation of God’s presence where we have the mercy seat and you remember Heb 4:16. Glory to God!
Moses constructed the tabernacle not having the full scope and knowledge of the person it typifies, in fact the Israelites in their days did those rituals religiously without tangibility with the one who embodies these realities.
It is high time we returned to the revelation of Christ in the body Christ. In our day we know alot about men of God than Christ, if we are not going to breed multitudes of miracle seekers in the body then the doctrine of Christ has to be embraced. Do you remember the incident in John 6 where the multitudes followed Jesus because he multiplied bread and all, Jesus switches and told them you do not follow me because you truly love me but because of bread( miracles) and Jesus told them I am the bread of life. Jesus referred to himself as the bread that came down from heaven and for you to be sustained you have to eat of Him and also drink his blood, they strove amongst themselves saying how can he give us his flesh to eat verse 52 and because of this summon into the reality of Christ the disciples said this is a hard saying and what brought pain in my heart, in verse 66 the bible said from that time many of his disciples went back and walked no more with Him. Can I ask you a question? *Will you also go back?* Mind you these are disciples who went back.
Note: You must grow beyond discipleship and advance into SONSHIP, the height of Christianity is SONSHIP. Disciples can turn back but SONS won’t because God is pleased with SONS, this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. Over 70 disciples went back remaining only twelve and Jesus said will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord to whom shall we go? Thou hast the WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE.
What sustains a man is not miracle but the words of eternal life and by that I mean the words of Christ that’s why the bible says So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, in the original it renders it this way, so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing the words of Christ( Rom 10:17) so when you read Moses you must hear Christ this is how you grow.
*Note: One of the twelve also went back*
Sons must arise
Are you blessed?
Stay blessed and remain connected.
